The Greater Pittsburgh chapter of the Women's Energy Network hosted members for a half day conference as part of their Leadership Series. As a group, we dove into the findings from the World Economic Forum's Global Gender Gap with the 2018 International Women's Day theme of "Press for Progress" in mind. Once the foundation was set with research, we turned our focus to developing solutions to address gender inequality in the workplace—especially in an industry that is highly male dominated. WEN has recently started welcoming men into the organization and into events, so we made sure to spend time discussing how men and women can be allies and advocates for one another in the workplace. Each participant made one of Gild's Leather Traveler's Journals—a new project that allows you to swap out a filled notebook for a fresh one so you never run out of space for new ideas!
