On Halloween, we spent the afternoon with the Vantiv African American Network with a workshop on Uncovering Unconscious Bias. Participants were encouraged to take a few Implicit Association Tests in advance of the workshop, and together we worked to understand our own biases and their impact, as well as the impact that others' biases have on us. Through the creation of our hand-bound journals, small groups learned to work together—a skill they took into developing bias interrupters for different workplace scenarios. Participants walked away with newfound awareness and tools for addressing bias, and we're glad to be part of that process!
