As part of an ongoing relationship with one of our clients in the technology industry, we delivered a women’s leadership program to women’s ERG participants within the organization. The two-day session leading up to International Women’s Day offered participants the rare opportunity to set daily responsibilities aside and focus on their personal and professional development. By taking a step back and looking at their careers–past, present, and future–participants had space to clearly articulate their values, vision, and goals for success. Participants left the session with an expanded network, both through the cohort they bonded with over the two day program and through the intentional planning they completed to create purposeful networking, mentorship, and sponsorship goals.
Program Objectives
Develop relationships among cohort members to serve as advocates and accountability partners after the session has ended.
Define participant’s career plans with clear objectives and strategies.
Understand personal strengths and communication styles to authentically demonstrate value to teams and networks.
Identify key needs from mentors and create a plan to secure a personal board of directors to satisfy diverse needs.
Develop tools for creating a professional network and pipeline that supports opportunities to form sponsorship relationships.
Results
Pre- and Post-Session surveys were sent to gauge the impact of the program. For benchmarking questions, agreement increased by an average of 11%.
For all objectives, an average of 88% of participants felt that objectives were met to a great or very great extent.
