Thanksgiving is an odd time of year, as in many ways it marks “the beginning of the end”. The end of the year, that is. It is a reminder to all of us to begin our processes of looking back on our year as it comes to a close, and to think of what we are most grateful for.
This year at Gild Collective has been nothing short of exhausting. There have been many long days and nights– on the road traveling to clients, working on our couches with our dogs poking their noses over the keyboards for attention while we finish deliverables, and conversations about how to best grow our business and make real impact for clients. Working for yourself is not easy, and in our fourth year I think we have come to the harsh realization that it never will be.
In spite of everything, we are forever grateful for the chance to do what we love. We might be exhausted sometimes, but for every long night there are days of invigoration that come from our clients’ excitement that carry us through. For every tough conversation there are decisions that, while tough to make, bring us peace in the long run.
More than anything, we care so much about what we do, and are thankful for the chance to work with clients that are working toward gender equity in their organizations, one step at a time. We are grateful to be a part of those steps, and to walk with them.
So to all of our clients– past, present, and future: Thank you.
