Ribbon is a young company and is eager to establish a culture of gender equity early. In their third year the Womxn’s ERG was formed to drive female development opportunities. These opportunities are always open to the entire organization.
We joined Ribbon to present a Communicating Confidently and Assertively session for the entire organization. It was well attended with an extremely engaged group of attendees, especially their CEO. All of the employees came to the session with a central goal of improving the culture of assertive communication within Ribbon, and with one another.
In this session we focused on:
Understanding personal strengths and communication styles to authentically demonstrate value to teams and networks.
Building skills to advocate for oneself and others through assertive communication techniques.
Developing and practicing professional communication strategies that can be used in various workplace situations, increasing confidence in daily interactions with colleagues and managers.
We worked together with the Ribbon team to establish a culture of assertiveness rooted in the truth that every member of the team has value to add. Each person has unique accomplishments and makes important contributions.
